You need Ashe of Gorgoroth to get the new end game armour. To get this Ashe you need to get armour that can be converted using the Flame of Ancalamir ( Purchased from a Elf-Smith. The armour was available i drops from mobs, but SSG has stopped this because of Ashe Farming Exploitation and now the only way to get Armour to convert to ashe is in Loot Chests, or as rewards in the CoS runs. Master crafters can make an Enchanted Gorgoroth Adamant that can also be broken down into Ashe, but is costly in Black Adamant Shards!

There are 5 armor pieces you can upgade, and 6 jewelry. Armor costs 2100 ash, jewels costs 1650 ash. The total amount of ash for upgrading all the pieces is 20400 Ash. Purple gear in CoS gives 20 ash I believe. If the drop rate was 100% chance for a purple piece from every chest, that's 80 ashes a run. Assuming you did the 3 man in 15 minutes (the average lotro group will take longer, but I'll say 15m to be generous to SSG's grind), that is 320 ashes an hour. This would amount to a total 63.75 hours of running CoS t2c, at 15m a run. Or, rather 255 full clears of CoS t2c. Ridiculous either way.

This needs to be ammended! We have started doing CoS runs as a Kin and the purple armour gives you 60 ashe per piece! You also get alot of scrolls to enhance your weapons!
